Crypto Daily: Sending Crypto Will Soon Be Possible Via WhatsApp; Google Introduces New Crypto Tools, Search Functions
【investinblockchain.com】It appears that WhatsApp users might soon be able to send Bitcoin (BTC) and other tokens to each other through a new crypto wallet service developed by Wuabit.
The new Wuabit service will let users access their crypto assets from within WhatsApp. Wallet functions include sending and receiving, trading and perhaps even other crypto-associated tasks.
The team also plans to bring the service to other social platforms, like Facebook Messenger, Telegram and Viber, and even SMSes. An early report from Britain’s The Express indicate that the public beta will start next month.
The company mentions that AI will be a big part of the service, and users can simply type in such statements as “Send 0.01 BTC to Vera,” which would be a convenient way for non-tech individuals to send and receive crypto.
Wuabit calls itself a “cryptocurrency wallet accessible via a chat interface.” The official blog post on the service covers security, privacy and the process by which users can send and receive cryptocurrencies.
Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Ethereum (ETH) are also being considered for integration.
Google Introduces New Crypto Tools, Search Functions
【bitcoinexchangeguide】Google integrates crypto-related tools to its ecosystem. Google powers one of the most widely used search engines around the world with more than 3.5 billion daily searches.
Google is currently working in order to display digital currencies in a more user-friendly way. If there is an individual searching for a specific coin, they will receive top stories about it, other suggested digital currencies and a more friendly interface.
At the moment, this interface works for some virtual currencies rather than for all the digital assets that the market has Bitcoin (BTC), Ripple (XRP) and Ethereum (ETH) are included. Other coins that are also supported are Litecoin (LTC) or Cardano (ADA).
At the same time, the currency conversion tool has added support for Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ether and Litecoin. This conversion tool offers support for most of the fiat currencies currently available around the world. Meanwhile, the Google keyboard tool offers the Bitcoin logo as well on iOS devices.
Weiss Ratings: Bitcoin Best Positioned to Become a Popular Store of Value
【bitcoinist】Weiss evaluates cryptocurrencies combining two factors, the adoption rate and technology. Upon evaluation, Weiss assigns letter grades indicating the crypto asset’s likelihood to succeed and its long-term sustainability.
On 26 March 2019, Weiss published a comprehensive report on the crypto market entitled “Dark Shadows with a Bright Future.”
The report is the outcome of reviewing 122 digital coins against four factors: technology, adoption, risk, and reward. Then, strictly basing the rating only on technology and adoption factors, Weiss concludes that the ten top cryptocurrencies are as shown in the table below:
Weiss proposes that “ultimately, only cryptocurrencies boasting the best combination of adoption and technology will succeed.” And it rates Bitcoin, EOS, and XRP with the highest letter grade: “A” rate (excellent).
And when the analysis also includes risk and rewards factors, the ranking is as follows:
The report argues that although the value of cryptocurrencies significantly declined in 2018, crypto technology continued to evolve, and new crypto assets were launched exhibiting faster processing speeds. As a result, adoption rates have increased.
Additionally, Weiss notes,
“Since February 2018, the volume of user (on-chain) transactions among the ten most widely used cryptocurrencies has grown by 245 percent.”
